Meet Okie Cocoa! This sweet boy is six months old, we believe he has labrador retriever, whippet and Manchester terrier in his breed mix. As a growing puppy he currently weighs about 40 pounds. Okie will remain a medium-sized dog, and we think he might get to be about 50-55 pounds.
From his foster mum: Okie is a fun and goofy boy! He makes every day a good day. Okie loves all sorts of toys: From squeaky to chew toys and ropes, he loves to play chase the ball - but he’s not sure about bringing it back yet! He is doing very well on his leash training. We have been practicing with him a little bit every day. He is also crate trained and has had very few accidents in the house! Okie does try to signal when he needs to go out! He has been in the rescue all his life, he’s just had a hard time getting adopted. Okie survived Parvo at that cute age of about three months. And being all black, his pictures just don’t do his adorable little face justice! Are you ready to bring the joy of Okie Cocoa to your home? Put in your online application right away: http://www.friendswithfourpaws.org/adoption-form.html This is the first step in our process, and we don't go any further without an application. Walker is 9 weeks old, born 4/20/22, 10 pounds and as cute as they come! This pup looks like he will remain medium-sized, probably 35 to 50 pounds. Walker is definitely a super mutt mix, with possibly some English pointer, and maybe pug and terrier-like Staffordshire or pitty. He may have an eeyore-like demeanour in this pictures, but the moment he feels human touch he lights up: Walker loves to play, give kisses and cuddle with his human foster sister. Walker, along with his siblings were in a basket on a main road with a sign that read "free" at barely 6 weeks old. While he has some - he is not fully vaccinated yet.

Meet Clayton Daphne! Clayton is a six months old Labrador-Super mutt puppy. Clayton LOVES to play and has a ton of energy, so an active family with older kids would be his ideal home who would continue with his puppy training (leash walking, obedience, resource guarding) Once he’s done playing all he just wants to cuddle with you and he loves to give and receive kisses.
From his foster family:
“When I’m working from home he will bring all the toys and then nap under the desk with me. He loves belly rubs and always needs something in his mouth: A stuffed toy, ball, or an antler- They are like his blankie. Also, he likes being up high and will try and lay on top the couch if you’re sitting on it.”
Clayton gets along with all the other big dogs in his foster family and even loves the foster bunnies and cats.

We are so excited to announce our Wheelie Program for specially abled dogs!! Our program was inspired by our wheelie alum, Baxter. He came to us with “no chance of adoption” (or so they said) but is now living his best life with his amazing family! Our Wheelie Program is run by our very own, Nina and her adopted wheelie girl, Diana. This program strives to save as many dogs in need of a wheelchair or those that have limited mobility of their legs. We think every dog deserves a chance at an amazing life regardless of their abilities!
A BIG thank you to our honorary board member, Diane (Baxter’s mom), for your continued support of our special needs dogs!!! And thank you to Diana A., for creating our gorgeous logo! More information is to follow as we continue to develop and expand our rescue efforts! |
We earned a 2021 Silver Seal of Transparency! Learn more about our organization’s impact through our #NonprofitProfile on @CandidDotOrg:

Getting a dog cross-country is no easy task, getting 20 or more at once is a labor of love! We send our dogs rescued from shelters and homeless situations in Oklahoma, to New York and New Jersey, where there are many more people to give them homes.
Will you help us get a cargo van to move these dogs to their new homes? Our goal is $75,000. Thank you for your consideration! We're grateful! |
