Surrender Process

Before surrendering your pet, please consider all alternate resources that may assist you in keeping your dog.

• Pets for Life is a great program that provides guidance, services and solutions to residents in the NYC area in order to prevent pets from losing their homes.

Our owner surrender policy:

• Owners are required to conduct a phone interview with the president of FWFP or another volunteer. 
• Owners are required to schedule and pay for a trainer evaluation with DogLiberty (New York City).
• Owners are required to pay a surrender fee of $250 upon confirmation that Friends With Four Paws is willing to help rehome the animal.
